Scribblers’ Hub on social media:
Social media advertising plan:
1- Promoted Facebook post:
Using promoted social posts and boosted posts to reach a wider range of audience. Posts promoted would be advertising the website’s features and content. Focusing more on features since this is what makes Scribblers’ Hub stand out from other competitors.
This example post promotes the writing prompt tool, which provides users with a writing prompt they can use to write directly in the writing tool and post their work on the site.
2- Promoted tweets:
Selecting a tweet every month to push to non-followers to spread the word about our posts.
According to my research, tweets with pictures and links achieve the best reach, especially when pushed to the right people; users who are following writing accounts or tweet about writing. It’s very important to become relevant and not spam people on Twitter.
Example of a promoted post on Twitter:
3- Direct messages:
It’s not technically “social media advertising” but it’s a proven good way to increase awareness and acquisition on twitter.
Engaging with followers privately communicated the brand’s image as a website that cares about its users, and about something that is more personal than a hobby; their passion, writing and inspiration.
Paying attention to users comments and feedback is important, both publicly and privately, it has a big impact.
One example below is a message Scribblers’ Hub received from a follower, it’s most probably a promotion message he copies and pastes to accounts he follows, but with a reply we managed to engage our user, stand out from all the brands that treats this as a spam, and turned this user to a more engaging Twitter follower with our content.
4- Google+ Promoted posts
Google+ is probably the least popular social media network, yet it’s very important for scribblers’ Hub since it’s a very useful tool of promoting content for the following reasons:
- Google+ algorithm gives priority to links and pictures that have more copy, so technically the more “words” you have in a post, the better chances it will have of being seen by users.
- Google gives an importance of content publishers that have a google+ presence both in search and SEO ranking. Which will help giving content both exposure.
Through getting a Google+ business listing promoted account, Google will give my Google+ posts priority in search results and make it more visible.
5- Google+ hangouts
Organizing hangout and advertising them on the website for users to attend. Since the website is built on the idea of a community, hosting a google hangout for users to interact and meet each other face to face every month is a good idea to increase engagement and make the hub feel more like a “family”.
